Not every piece of equipment plays nice with every machine. When a customer brought in a John Deere bucket that needed to mount up on a Liebherr 542 loader, the attachment geometry just wasn't going to work without some serious custom fabrication. That's exactly the kind of problem we solve.

The Liebherr 542 is a big machine - heavy, capable, and built to move serious material. But mounting hardware and coupler designs vary widely between manufacturers. You can't just bolt a John Deere bucket onto a Liebherr loader and call it a day. The mounting faces, pin spacing, and structural geometry all have to line up and hold up under real working loads.

We cut into the existing bucket face and fabricated new mounting plates to match the Liebherr's coupler specs. This isn't just a patch job - it's structural and heavy-duty welding that has to hold under the full force of a working loader. Every weld has to be clean and solid because a failure in the field means downtime, or worse.

This is the kind of custom metal fabrication work that keeps equipment running instead of sitting. Buying a new OEM bucket isn't always practical or even possible. A well-executed retrofit like this gives a machine a second life and saves real money.

If you've got equipment that needs to fit somewhere it wasn't originally designed to go, or something that's just seen better days and needs attention, that's what we're here for. We work on all kinds of heavy equipment fabrication and repair right here in Bath, NY.
